From November, David Owen, an SRA-regulated solicitor, joins Enigma Seven to lead our Legal capability – providing practical commercially focused legal support backed by specialists across our commercial, finance, procurement, engineering and projects teams.

We're not an SRA-regulated law firm and we don't provide reserved legal activities. Instead, we focus on providing commercial and contractual support on matters where legal expertise, industry knowledge and commercial judgement can make a real difference in a number of ways.

For businesses without their own legal function, or those needing additional senior capability, we can act as an extension of your leadership team.

We help triage legal requirements, determine what can be handled internally and what genuinely requires external counsel, select and instruct the right specialist and manage the work through to completion. Crucially, having an experienced lawyer with over 20 years of in-house experience on your side means we can act as a filter in determining when to instruct which legal experts and challenge scope, approach and external legal fees in a way that's difficult for a non-lawyer or commercially unfocused lawyer to do – reducing unnecessary legal spend while ensuring you get the right level of expertise when you actually need it.
