Jon Mack

Jon Mack is a highly experienced senior Rail professional with broad experience across rail engineering, operations and project management.

He joined Enigma Seven as an associate after working in the consultancy sector including Expleo, Alstom and Ricardo. While at Ricardo Jon held the position of Head of Engineering and Design and was the Business Manager for the sector. Jon has managed a number of high level strategic projects and recently introduced the Class 93 tri mode locomotives into service.

Leadership
Jon is a motivated, dynamic and strategic thinker with proven experience in developing high quality business strategy for complex rail operations. Under Jon’s leadership, his teams have developed and delivered complex rolling stock projects. He has experience in influencing business decisions across all levels of management, with a strong track record in delivery.

Experience
Jon has managed a large number of engineering projects including re-signalling, collision repairs, measurement systems, vehicle refurbishments, vehicle introduction and ETCS. His experience stems across all disciplines of operation, maintenance, and deployment of rolling stock including technical and engineering strategies. Jon started his career at a rolling stock manufacturer in the UK, rising from apprentice to roles within an operator as Fleet Engineer and Project Management in Asset Management Software, before focusing on Engineering within the consultancy sector.

Jon then spent time at a number of consultancies managing teams of engineers and project managers, where he also implemented PMO best practice and governance.

Most recently, Jon has been seconded in to Rail Operations Group to introduce the Class 93 tri-mode locomotive, this included approval, mainline testing, delivery and homologation.
